This multi-specialty MD/OD MSO, with its own eye-only Ambulatory Surgery Center and LASIK Center, is dedicated to enhancing vision and eye health for the communities we serve. We are seeking skilled and compassionate Optometrists to join our practice. As integral members of our team, you will play a key role in providing high-quality eye care services to our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving vision and promoting eye health, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to delivering personalized care to each patient.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, binocular vision, and ocular health.

Diagnose and treat a wide range of ocular conditions, including but not limited to, myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia, and ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.

Prescribe and fit contact lenses to meet patients' visual needs.

Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing refractive surgery, cataract surgery, and other ocular procedures.

Educate patients about proper eye care practices, including the importance of regular eye examinations, proper contact lens hygiene, and the management of ocular conditions.

Collaborate with other members of the healthcare and organizational team, including ophthalmologists, opticians, and operational administrative staff, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The organization uses Nextech/MDI Intellechart.

Stay current with advancements in optometric technology, treatment modalities, and professional standards through continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications

Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.

Valid state optometry license.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with patients and colleagues.

Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and promoting patient satisfaction.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computerized optometric tools.
