Position Summary:
We're looking for a skilled Support Engineer who thrives in supporting small sized businesses in the Sacramento area. You'll play a crucial role in managing and resolving a wide range of technical issues, while also contributing to our vCIO SAAS application support team. This is a versatile role that combines technical know-how with outstanding interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide end-user support (Windows 10/11, Outlook, Office 365, networking issues, etc., account and equipment set up for new and current users).
• Ability to learn and provide basic support to ~100 different line of business applications our clients run their business on (accounting software, user management apps, construction software and more)
• Administer Windows Server (user accounts, AD/GP, DNS, DHCP, network shares)
• Manage backup/recovery processes
• Handle end user networking issue (VPN, DHCP, WiFi, etc)
• Ensure security best practices are followed (Phishing test, high level managing of MS Defender for Business, MFA, etc)
• Administer Office 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)
• Manage Azure virtual machines (patching, reboot, etc)
• Big plus if you have experience working at MSP, and have worked with Datto RMM, Datto BCDR, Quest Rapid Recovery solutions.
• Support our vCIO/QBR platform (user set up, password and MFA resets and more)
Requirements:
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Fluent in English
• Strong desire to learn and innovate
• Located in the greater Sacramento area for occasional on-site client visits
• Able to lift/shift IT equipment (PCs, monitors, switches as well as larger UPSs, servers, etc – with some assistance, this is rare but can happen)
• Relevant certifications (a plus but not mandatory)
• This is a full time position, work hours are 8am-5pm, and rare after hours and very rare weekend emergency or project support
• Must have reliable means of transportation to get to clients sites when work cannot be performed remotely.
