Tooling and Die Manager

A family-owned business that provides custom engineering design for tools an dies and custom machines, and custom stamping and machining services, is actively seeking a Tooling & Die Project Manager who is passionate about the art of crafting top-tier products for a variety of industries (automotive, defense, etc).

Essential Functions:

Design for dies and tooling

Shop design and layout support, sketches for electrodes, details, engineering changes, and repairs.

Direct customer contact

Works directly with Operations Manager to schedule deliveries, workload and floor support.

Kees up to date with the status of jobs in process on completeness and profitability with the Team Leaders.

Help organize shop for proficiency and efficiency

Initiate quote requirements and develop quote as time requires

Job set-ups and ISO compliance

Coordinates work between division or outside vendors

Prepares requisitions for the purchasing of supplies and materials

Work with programmer to develop NC and CNC programs

Assist in establishing new customers

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred, or minimum of high school diploma or equivalent with accompanying extensive direct experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in related manufacturing/ machining industry

Experience designing dies, tooling or molds

Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Solidworks

Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.
