The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall Food & Beverage business operation for the SW FL Region. You will provide the vision and strategic leadership to drive resident and employee satisfaction through the delivery of best-in-class dining and hospitality experiences. You must have the ability to travel to regional communities to provide ongoing training and support to our on-property food and beverage leadership teams, assist with quality assurance, and identify areas of opportunity. This role requires a strong background in food and beverage management, the ability to communicate effectively and partner with Association Boards, exceptional financial management skills, building and leading diverse teams, and a passion for delivering outstanding resident experiences.

Duties and Essential Functions

As the Regional VP for for the Southwest Florida Region, you will be responsible for the overall leadership including Food & Beverage business operation for the region. You will provide the vision and strategic leadership to drive resident and employee satisfaction through the delivery of best-in-class dining and hospitality experiences. In this hands-on leadership role, you must have the ability to travel to regional communities to provide ongoing training and support to our on-property food and beverage leadership teams, assist with quality assurance, and identify areas of opportunity. This role requires a strong background in food and beverage management, the ability to communicate effectively and partner with Association Boards, exceptional financial management skills, building and leading diverse teams, and a passion for delivering outstanding resident experiences.

Leads by example and demonstrates our core (GREAT) values consistently. Provides F&B leadership and direction to on-property teams. Works closely with Regional leadership and Executive team to identify, develop and retain high-potential employees. Assists on-property leadership with identifying strengths and weaknesses of teams and individuals, providing direction, support, feedback and coaching. Assists with oversight of career path options for F&B teams.

Coordinate with Executive Director of Food & Beverage, and partner with Regional VP Operations leadership to develop and activate a restaurant and bar structure and strategy that elevates the resident experience in our communities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on property and in corporate office, including design, marketing, sales, and development, to ensure alignment on objectives, priorities, and execution.

Work closely with Executive Director of F&B to lead the portfolio’s F&B discipline through unique, distinctive and on-strategy culinary and beverage experiences. Lead the on-property F&B teams and provide direction and plans that align with broader KWPMC priorities. Lead a team of high performing on property leaders to develop superior guest experiences. Create a team environment that encourages creativity, innovation, accountability, and high standards.

Drive operational excellence and the highest standards of culinary, service, programming, and bar operations. Work with technology partners to implement data-led decision making in regards to business operations. Ensure standards are in place and systems maintained to ensure appropriate and ongoing refinement of product and service.

Provide executive guidance and coordination of restaurant concept, design and program development to deliver distinctive, locally relevant, high performing restaurants and bars. Use market research and consumer insight data to influence programming and product development. This effort is closely coordinated with Association Boards, committees, corporate and regional leadership, and third-party consultants.

Create awareness and excitement for the restaurant and bar experiences that drive PR, content, and financial performance within our communities. Focus on content creation, recognition, and innovation to create distinction.

Oversee F&B third-party partnership relationships and create a framework to support F&B elevation through partners when appropriate.

Support on-property F&B teams to maximize financial performance through top line revenue growth and expense control. Oversight of annual F&B budget preparation and forecasting for each property in the region. Work closely with accounting teams to refine and evolve monthly financial reporting to allow continued improvement in our decision-making processes. Look for opportunities to use technology to find efficiencies in service and labor expense and explore opportunities to leverage group purchasing volumes to decrease hard costs and improve operating margins. Have the ability to review and effectively communicate and discuss financial results with Community Boards.

Requirements

Education and Experience Required

4-year degree from an accredited university

10+ years of relevant professional experience in food and beverage, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance

8+ years of global luxury brand experience

Experience creating and developing successful food and beverage concepts for luxury outlets

Experience building breakthrough brands

Experience managing and defining transformational strategies

Education and Experience Preferred

Advanced degree

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment that has a food and beverage operation on site. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This role is located on the beach and employee will be exposed to outdoor climate/weather. The employee will be exposed to typically equipment and temperatures found in a restaurant kitchen.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position is exempt (salaried) and full-time. Days and hours of work will be determined based on the business needs of the property. Weekend coverage may be required.

Travel

There will be travel to KWPMC properties throughout Florida and local meetings.
