Position: Project Manager

Salary: $100,000 - $140,000

Location: SanJose (Relocation assistance available)

The Position:

The successful candidate for this position will be stationed out of San Jose and will be responsible for the direction, coordination, execution, and completion of high-level structural steel projects.

Our client is a market-leading structural steel fabricator and erector across the United States with a particular focus on the West Coast, this is an opportunity that can’t be missed.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for a thorough understanding of each project’s definition, scope, goals, and deliverables.

Responsible for execution and improvement of project schedules, budgets, and technical performances

May manage multiple projects in various stages of completion, depending upon size and complexity.

Manage and coordinate all shop drawings, field drawings, and all other project details with general contractors, field personnel, and other involved parties.

Select and manage cost-effective subcontractors and negotiate all project contracts.

Conduct formal/ informal status meetings with all concerned stakeholders.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years of increasing responsibility in project management positions with a focus on structural or architectural steel.

Strong working knowledge of construction drawings and blueprints, with the ability to read design documents and specifications.

Understanding of general construction contract and subcontract terminology.

The ability to use FabSuite or other manufacturing production computer systems.
