The HR & Payroll Generalist is responsible for the payroll management across Commercial Building Infrastructure (CBI) and the assigned human resources activities for the Sales, Technical Services, and Central Functions groups within the CBI business.
Point-of-contact for day-to-day needs of assigned employee group, including labor relations, benefits, employee programs. Provide support to plant HR team during high periods of activity, program implementations, acquisitions, LOA coverage, etc.
Payroll management for including data integrity, time & attendance system, processing payroll, and accuracy of PTO banks, for the CBI population.
Assist with talent acquisition and management, including onboarding, organization charts, and our succession planning process.
Responsibilities
Oversee full-cycle of recruitment efforts
Develop and oversee new hire orientation, onboarding efforts and employee termination process
Assist with payroll and benefits administration
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and legal Responsibilities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related experience
4+ years of applied professional experience and well-versed in employment law and payroll practices.
2+ years in manufacturing environment, a plus
Proficient in HRMS and Time & Attendance software
Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment and coordination of programs and initiatives.
This role requires a high level of independence and self-motivation.
Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and build quality relationships through networking
Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Excellent spreadsheet and presentation skills with good written and oral communication
Ability to travel up to 20% for site support, meetings, trainings, and career fairs. Primarily domestic and occasionally Canada.
