UOP Honeywell Engineering is looking for a “Lead Chemical Engineer - PRV (Pressure Relive Valve)” to work within the Engineering projects team. As a PRV lead engineer, you will work with a group of experienced engineers on different disciplines in the Des Plaines office along with other global engineering offices in support and development of engineering documents for worldwide customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support process technology teams by analyzing pressure relief scenarios and reviewing the PRV relief loads for various equipment configurations and systems

Identify causes of and scenario details for overpressure events

Ensure PRV project specifications comply with UOP and industry requirements

Provide answers to customer inquiries, clarifications of UOP practices, and evaluation of deviation requests

Maintain the PRV infrastructure documents and tools, develop relief analysis procedures, and coordinate testing of tool updates

Provide training classes to other UOP employees and to customers

Provide technical support to UOP Services on PRV issues in new and operating units

Business travel < 10%

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering

10 or more years of applicable industry experience

Experience working in global teams across time zones

Track record of successful contribution to products & projects

Experience with pressure relief devices and systems, and process safety practice

Broad understanding of applicable industry codes and best practices

Process experience in refinery, oil, gas, and petrochemical industries

Effective presentation skills
