Application Support Specialist

The end client is seeking a junior to mid-level technologist passionate about technology and with exposure in the commodities industry. Core responsibilities include supporting cloud-based applications critical to trading operations, partnering with end-users for issue resolution, and delivering tangible business value.

Must haves:

3-5 years of IT industry experience with a minimum of 2 years in energy trading.

Familiarity with trading floor operations and ISO power markets preferred.

Proficiency in supporting cloud-based applications (AWS/Azure) developed with Python or similar tools.

Strong diagnostic skills for technical issues in Python, Java, .Net, or other languages.

Knowledge of OpenLink Endur system (North American Gas and Power) is advantageous.

Support commodity trading and live position applications, ensuring time-critical batch processes run smoothly.

Monitor application availability, communicate with clients/vendors, and manage support tickets efficiently.
