ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client seeks someone to spearhead the design, development, and maintenance of business intelligence solutions within a burgeoning team.

THE ROLE

Develop, optimize, and refine business intelligence solutions, covering data modeling, dashboards, and reports.

Collaborate with various teams to understand requirements and ensure that data solutions align with business goals.

Maintain data quality and reliability by implementing validation and monitoring procedures.

Build and oversee complex SQL queries, including those integrated into ETL scripts.

Establish and uphold best practices for designing, developing, and sustaining BI solutions.

Address operational issues promptly, documenting, troubleshooting, and resolving daily data challenges.

Process, refine, and validate data integrity for analytical purposes.

Provide Tableau support, including training and access setup.

Analyze extensive datasets to identify patterns and develop solutions.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Successful candidates for this BI Engineer role typically possess:

Over 4 years of experience in BI development, covering data modeling and dashboard creation.

Advanced proficiency in SQL.

Expertise in designing, developing, and managing SQL-based ETL pipelines, utilizing tools such as Airflow, dbt, or Databricks.

Proficiency in Tableau.

Familiarity with cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift.

Ability to gather business requirements and craft reporting solutions to translate large datasets into actionable insights.

Understanding of relational and dimensional database concepts, data modeling, warehouse design, and data management.

Strong written and verbal communication skills for conveying technical information to diverse audiences.

Excellent organizational, prioritization, and planning skills for managing multiple projects collaboratively.

NICE TO HAVE

Bachelor's or master's degree in business, economics, computer science, information systems, statistics, or a related field.

Experience working with extensive and complex datasets from websites and mobile/TV applications.

Proficiency in Python.

Experience with Google BigQuery.

Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or similar digital analytics tools.

Experience with git and git providers such as Github, Bitbucket, Gitlab.
