Join us as a Transmission Line Engineer based in Houston, Texas or San Antonio, Texas.
You will engage in projects involving HV and extra HV AC/DC transmission lines, with potential opportunities in renewable energy infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
Undertake detailed engineering and design tasks for overhead transmission line projects, spanning from conceptual design to construction, ranging from 4kV to 500kV.
Execute detailed designs for underground transmission line projects, with voltage specifications ranging from 69kV to 230kV.
Generate detailed cost estimates and opinion of probable cost statements for projects with limited details.
Develop construction and material specifications, as well as scope documents for construction tenders and contracts.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
3+ years of related design experience.
Proficient in using PLS software suite, Sag10, AutoCAD or Microstation, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations for designing transmission lines in the United States, including NESC, CPUC, ASCE, RUS, etc.
