Linux System Engineer

Robert Half is recruiting a top-tier Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team in Atlanta!

In this mid-to-senior level role, you'll become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our Linux-based cloud application platform. You'll leverage your expertise to manage, troubleshoot, and engineer solutions, ensuring optimal performance and stability.

What You'll Do:

Lead the charge: Manage, configure, and maintain our Linux hypervisor, network, and storage infrastructure (50%).

Engineering Rockstar: Provide expert-level support for our cloud application stack and production network services (30%).

Knowledge Catalyst: Act as a valuable escalation resource, mentoring junior technicians and fostering their Linux expertise (20%).

We're looking for a candidate with:

Solid foundation: 6+ years of experience administering CentOS/Debian servers in production environments.

Virtualization wiz: 5+ years of experience with virtualization technologies like QEMU, KVM, and ProxMox.

Network maestro: 4+ years of experience with TCP/IP and Linux networking (VLANs, routing, switching, SNMP).

Problem-solving extraordinaire: 4+ years of tackling complex server, application, and network issues.

Automation champion: 2+ years of experience with shell and Python scripting for automation.

Team player: Willingness to collaborate in-office with junior technicians, fostering their growth and development.
