Loss Control Inspector

Inspection services may include:

● Review and acceptance of Job Packages

● In process Inspections

● Monitoring of Quality Control Systems

● Witnessing final Hydrostatic Testing

● Review and signing of required forms

● Third Party Inspections

● Jurisdictional codes and standards requirements

This field-based position is an integral part of our commitment to the quality and service we provide for our customers and to their equipment. The work varies from day to day and is ideally suited to a self motivated individual who can work independently. A successful inspector will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work with customers in a professional manner with high integrity. Inspectors must also have the ability to develop business insights and build strong relationships with their customers to engage them with the wide array of services offered.

The position has minimum qualifications of a high school diploma and work experience with boilers and pressure vessels or nuclear reactors. Training is provided annually for all inspectors, which has been developed and supported by our technical industry experts.

Qualifications Required:

H.S. diploma

Experience with high pressure boilers

Experience operating, maintaining, or inspecting boilers and pressure vessels

Basic computer skills

Meet RCI 1 Requirements to qualify for AI/RI examinations and Commission qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Preferred:

Technical College Graduate or Engineering degree

ASME & NBIC Code Knowledge

Risk Survey experience

N.B. of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors Commission

State Certificate of Competency and National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors

Commission, with “A” Endorsement

Designation as Authorized Inspector by Manager, Code Services

Physical Requirements:

● The person in this position needs to routinely move about (including ascending/descending) a site facility, remote location, etc. while performing visual inspections of ASME/NB boilers and pressure vessels, review NDE reports and calculations.

● Consistently works in outside weather conditions that may be frigid or hot temperatures.

● May need to lift own body weight with associated safety equipment

● Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
