Naman Howell has an immediate opening for an attorney with 3+ years of experience in our Austin office. This career opportunity will require significant work on complex electric and telecommunications regulatory matters as well as a wide range of business matters, including administrative litigation, government affairs, regulated transactions, contract review, investment/financing, and mergers and acquisitions. This busy and dynamic practice group represents many outstanding clients, including some of the largest utilities and infrastructure investors in the world.

We are seeking an individual who is a hard-working self-starter with a long-term interest in developing his or her own regulatory practice. Previous associates in this position are now successful partners at the firm.

Desired Experience & Skills:

Experience handling matters related to the electric or telecommunications industry strongly preferred.

Demonstrated ability to produce client-ready work product and excellent client service in a timely and efficient manner and with minimal supervision.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex legal principles to non-experts in a clear and succinct fashion.

Detail-oriented problem solver who can function in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities.

Collegial and collaborative with a “client first” mindset.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of relevant legal practice.

Admitted to the Texas Bar.

Strong academic background. Candidate must have been a graduate in the top third of their law school class.

Able and willing to work daily in the firm’s Austin office.
