Underwriter

Seeking an Underwriter who has experience in the Fix& Flip and Hard Money lending space.

Your role will be to:

Analyze Business Purpose bridge mortgage loans in compliance with company credit guidelines and regulatory requirements and ensure loan terms, LTV/LTC and ratios meet program guidelines

Review loan files for completeness, identify missing documentation and review condition lists to see how cleared

Communicate with lender on trends, portfolio concentrations and guideline updates as needed

Review and approve loan exceptions to the guidelines

Review sample entity documents to determine who are the members of the entity and who is authorized to sign the mortgage loan documents.

Manage pipeline and review closing timelines with industry standards

Work with third party diligence provider to document a complete scope of work including valuation reviews, feasibility analysis and borrower experience levels

Ensure adequacy and quality of the borrower and subject property qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required

5+ years mortgage lending experience with good knowledge of lending regulations and credit/collateral analysis practices.

Experience underwriting fix & flip/hard money/business purpose preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills;

Must be able to adapt well to a fast-paced and constantly changing business environment;

Strong Computer skills, MS office and comfortable with new technology systems and paperless environment,
