Quality Control Inspector

Job Summary:

The Quality Inspector conducts mechanical and dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers and various gauges in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Conducts Dimensional & Mechanical Inspections

Oversees the satisfactory resolution of customer requirements on a variety of complex Quality Assurance issues

Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items

Manages the Internal audits and corrective action follow ups

Performs inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies and tooling

Qualifications:

2 - 5 years of mechanical inspection experience

Experience with receiving, in process, final and/or first article inspection

Experience using precision measurement tools- calipers, micrometers and gauges

Experience working with engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches

Aerospace manufacturing experience highly desired- AS9100

Proficient computer skills

Ability to identify and independently resolve a variety of complex Quality Assurance issues

Any CMM operator experience a huge plus
