The HR Generalist is located at our Bolingbrook, IL facility and is responsible for various aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. The HR Generalist plays a key role in providing HR guidance and support in developing and building strong relationships with operational areas and employees and will support the HR Manger with employee relations, HR policies and procedures, performance management, merit increases, and more. This is an on-site position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

Weekly Payroll: Make changes in the HRIS related to any new hires, terminations, or changes, and problem solve any issues during processing.

Serve as a point person to employees with questions related to benefits, payroll, employee relations, policies, procedures, etc.

Assist and support management and the leadership team with handling and resolving employee relations issues. Assist employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures.

Advise managers/supervisors about the steps in the progressive discipline system of the Company. Provide counsel to managers/supervisors on employment issues.

Develop and implement retention initiatives. Lead programs and events to foster high morale, including community involvement, team member celebrations, and other company events.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred

4+ years related experience and/or training preferred

Fluent in both English and Spanish required

Knowledge of employment law practices

Proficiency in MS office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ability to calculate and analyze HR KPIs

Experience with Workday is a plus
