Your EDGE Assignment/You Will

Lead, develop and maintain a data architecture framework for the data platform and reference architecture blueprints including, standards, principles, and data modelling.

Define and evolve data standards and perform analysis to ensure continuing compliance and integrity.

Provide technical oversight to delivery teams to assist with data design requirements, functional and non-functionals, quality of service and product-support requirements, creating design artefacts that are in alignment with the data architecture and governance standards.

Coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into data designs for a smooth functioning of the data platform in accordance with the data architecture.

Ensure that the data architecture strategy and roadmap is aligned to the business and technology strategies.

Build and maintain appropriate artefacts that aid data traceability, identification of data sources, data flows and their management.

Develop key performance measures for data integration and quality oversight and reporting.

Conduct continuous audits of data management system performance, refine whenever required, and report breach or concerns to the stakeholders.

Be an advocate of data security principles and ensure appropriate security practices are embedded in the data strategy.

Contribute actively to the evolution of data governance practices and ways of working to influence the adoption of data standards, advising and championing data architecture across Axi

Provide a standard common business vocabulary, express strategic data requirements, outline high level integrated designs to meet these requirements, and align with enterprise strategy and related business architecture.

Collaborating with our product function to understand requirements, design scalable data pipelines and implement new features or enhancements to Axi’s Customer Data Platform (CDP) – Twilio Segment.

Supporting the business to derive insights by building Power BI dashboards.

Develop, maintain, and optimize data integration and ETL processes using Azure, GCP and other cloud services and tools.

Develop, maintain, and optimize data stream processing using Azure, GCP and other cloud services and tools.

Support and extend our Marketing Data Warehouse built with Google BigQuery.

Proactively derive insights and data from Axi’s platforms to inform digital experience design and strategy, and feed into executive reporting. Democratising data for stakeholders.

Keeping up to date across industry developments and trends, the latest data architecture techniques, and tools.

Adhere to all Axi’s policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Axi's internal processes.

Mentor junior team members and help interview for data-specific roles.

Are you the one?

Professional knowledge of the English language (both verbal and written).

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, Master's degree preferred.

10 years' experience in architecting, designing, and developing data warehouses (Cloud/on premise and Analytics) at enterprise scale.

5+ years' experience as a Data Modeller and a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts.

2+ years’ experience in data platforms development using Azure SQL database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, Azure Pipelines, Azure IaaS/PaaS.

At least 1+ years’ experience in building data warehouse/analytical systems using Azure Synapse product, Power BI Architecture and Report delivery.

5+ years of experience in technical leadership role in driving design, architecture of large-scale transactional systems and analytics systems

Be hands on, technical and have experience with latest features with data platform development.

Expertise in Microsoft Azure, including Azure Synapse Analytics, and Google’s Cloud Platform (GCP).

Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with other programming languages (Python, R).

Experience with cloud services, serverless architectures, and containerization technologies.

Knowledge of machine learning and data mining techniques is a plus.

Ability to act independently to resolve issues with strong critical & analytic thinking.

Engage with stakeholders in all phases of project life cycle – requirements gathering, solution design reviews, development, testing, UAT, delivery and support.
