Business Analyst II

Pay: $56/hr

Duration: 8 month contract

Location: Mississauga, Ontario - hybrid, onsite Tuesday and Thursday

We are partnering with a retail conglomerate to hire on a Business Analyst II.

Responsibilities:

Business Analysis and Data Management

• Manage data files, conduct reconciliations, and perform analysis using data.

• Understand business requirements and provide in-depth analysis.

Data Analysis and Problem Solving

• Maintain knowledge of all main data sources and classifications for the data used in the analysis.

• Explore and utilize these data sources for reporting and analysis purposes.

Stakeholder Consultation and User Experience

• Provide stakeholders with analysis to address their needs.

• Determine the best way to deliver the analysis requested by exploring multiple alternatives and creating prototypes.

Data Interpretation and Visualization

• Work with various business units to define problems and requirements.

• Analyze and interpret data using statistical methods and data modeling techniques.

• Identify patterns and trends in data and provide recommendations for business decisions.

• Develop and implement data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement

• Build scalable and automatable analytical solutions

• Identify ways to improve processes by observing and collecting feedback from requestors.

• Analyze business processes and functional requirements with stakeholders for required system enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field.

• 4-6 years of Business Analysis experience and minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in advanced data analytics.

• Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple project deadlines.

• Ability to map out complex operational processes.

• Strong data analysis skills and ability to provide recommendations based on trends and opportunities.

• Strong written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, must be extremely detail oriented.

• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Wireframing, PowerBI, SQL, Tableau.
