Summary of Sales Manager Position

The Sales Manager position focuses on accountability and business development. The position is responsible for covering the Central IN sales territory with frequent need to attend meetings at the corporate office located in Indianapolis. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to challenge and motivate sales reps to prospect, quote and follow-up. This position will focus on building the sales pipeline and closing opportunities.

Sales Manager Responsibilities

Leveraging customer database tools to ensure sales reps are actively and accurately prospecting, quoting and completing follow up.

Ensuring sales consultants’ quotes and orders accurately follow the selling process.

Consistently managing the sales pipeline.

Constructively asking the hard questions of reps to improve performance and ability in the selling process.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Sales Manager Qualifications

Proficiency with Microsoft® Office software applications and smart devices, and an ability to learn internal software and applications.

Demonstrates confidence balanced with humility

Ability to motivate and persuade others in order to influence change and shift paradigms

Works collaboratively with McComb team members and customers

Able to create a sense of trust and reliability with internal team and customers

Skilled at working with a variety of people – balances poise and integrity with a service mentality
