Job Description

Position Overview: The Manufacturing Quality Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that our manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. This position requires a strong background in quality management, along with expertise in SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain a robust quality management system (QMS) in accordance with SQF standards and regulatory requirements.

Lead and manage all aspects of the SQF certification process for manufacturing facilities, including preparation, audits, and ongoing compliance.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes, equipment, and facilities to ensure compliance with SQF standards and other quality requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Provide training and guidance to manufacturing staff on SQF standards, food safety protocols, and quality control procedures.

Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, including customer complaints, non-conformances, and product deviations.

Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, third-party auditors, and certification bodies to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.

Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory updates related to manufacturing quality and food safety.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, food science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

SQF Practitioner certification required.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality management, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment.

Strong knowledge of SQF standards, HACCP principles, and FDA/USDA regulations.

Proven experience in implementing and managing quality management systems and conducting internal and external audits.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
