ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes but not limited to the following:
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient records, assisting with billing and coding tasks
Answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries
Verifying insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations
Performing basic clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs and administering injections
Assisting our providers with drawing blood samples and other clinical duties
Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the back office and exam rooms
Interact in a positive and constructive manner
Providing patient education and answering patient questions
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and ethical standards
Follow company policies, procedures, and directives
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the practice
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Previous experience as a medical assistant preferred
Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
Must be bilingual in Spanish
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:
