General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain professional and meaningful relationships with the client to ensure program and project requirements are being satisfied.

Ensure the delivery of the contracted Design and Construction Management services to the client.

Review submitted shop drawings and material submittals against the drawings & specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.

Ensure compliance with all Hill internal processes and procedures.

Effective verbal and written communication proficiency.

Time management and task prioritization skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Review Shop drawings

Review material submissions

Enforce safety protocols.

Provide Quality Assurance oversight

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in architecture from a recognized university.

At least 13+ years of experience in architectural design, production techniques, symbols and standards, building materials and construction methods.

In-depth practical knowledge of international architectural building codes.

Previous experience in the field of specialization and knowledge of relevant engineering design principles, practices, methods and systems Knowledge of the construction field, regulatory standards and design standards relevant to architectural work.

Extensive experience in building use classifications and analysis of fire safety and life safety codes.

Knowledge of engineering procedures, design guidelines, business automation applications and administrative aspects.

Experience in engineering support and problem-solving during construction (construction troubleshooting and on-site engineering).

Extensive experience in building techniques and materials.

Deep/practical experience in AutoCAD software. Practical knowledge of three-dimensional modeling software is preferred. Knowledge of computers and basic software applications: Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Ability to review designs (drawings, specifications, documents, calculations) and coordinate them with the work of other fields.

Ability to coordinate architectural/engineering activities with the activities of other fields and the project management team within the engineering department and the public entity as needed.

Ability to provide technical advice to other departments.

Ability to review supplier documentation, shop drawings and construction materials.

Conduct inspection and field inspection, provide professional field support and troubleshoot construction errors during the construction phases.

The ability to prepare correspondence, reports and technical studies and submit them with high quality.

Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in Chinese is required. Oral and written communication skills in English or Arabic is a plus.
