We are seeking a highly organized medical assistant. If you love spreadsheets, color coding, and tracking deadlines, are incredibly organized, and have experience as a medical assistant, we'd love the opportunity to talk to you.
The medical assistant will work with the nursing department, program directors, and service coordinators to ensure participants are getting to their appointments, receiving yearly checkups, follow-up appointments are made and staff informed, health is monitored according to individuals' plans and healthcare needs are being met. The medical assistant will track individual's medical documents, inform the nursing staff of upcoming expirations, assist with nursing audits, check-in and monitor medications, send out document requests, assist in the RORA process, keep records up to date in multiple systems, ensure we have all required documentation for transitioning individuals in and out of our services, enter information into Therap. The medical assistant is an essential part of our team and is also responsible for the additional duties of:
Scanning, filing, and uploading documents
Keep tracking sheets up to date
Prepare new individual files (physical and digital files)
Attend DOH DDSD required training, therapy training, ISP/IDT, and other meetings and community events as scheduled
Keep up to date with DD Waiver standards
Take individuals to medical appointments
Checking In & Delivering medications
Running MAR (Medication Administrative Record) reports
Communication with internal staff and outside agencies (reaching out to FLPs, case managers, and other residential agencies for required nursing documents).
Appointment and record tracking (internal auditing)
MAR Oversite (running MAR reports, configuring MARs, adding to/editing medication profiles)
Staff training (training on Therap, Health tracking, and MARs for residential staff and FLPs)
Taking inventory of medical supplies
Other duties as assigned
The day-to-day of this position changes often, and it is the job of the MA to be able to respond to last-minute situations and step into different roles as you are needed.

Conscientious of deadlines, and plan accordingly
Excellent at communication both verbal and writtenRequirements:

Valid Driver's License
Safe and Insured Vehicle
Healthcare Administrative Experience (preferred)
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience with the following:
Microsoft Office
Therap (preferred)
Digital Filing
OneDrive/Sharepoint
