Registered Nurse - Peer Review Coordinator

Job Description

Rome Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse - Peer Review Coordinator.

The RN Peer Review Coordinator supports the medical staff and other clinical departments in investigating, evaluating, and improving patient care. They will also coordinate the medical staff peer review process and oversees, seeking resolution of identified issues. They will serve as NYPORTS liaison and maintain responsibility for identifying and reporting qualified events. Duties will also include:

Screening individuals situations according to specific care criteria and making referrals as necessary.

Performs prospective, concurrent and/or retrospective reviews for all medical departments.

Coordinating and overseeing effective medical staff peer review by assessing the quality of medical care and seeking resolution of identified problems.

Education/Training/Experience, Certification/Licensure:

New York State Registered Nurse. Certification in Healthcare Quality is desirable.

Five years of clinical nursing experience is required.

Three to five years of experience in quality care review in a hospital setting is preferred.
