Job Summary
As a Refill Coordinator at AmeriPharma, you will be responsible for clerical tasks associated with the specialty workflow including refill requests patient documentation, and prescription transfers. The incumbent will report to the Patient Care and Workflow Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and complete filling of patient records
Transmit documents as requested by fax, email, or other means of transmission
Call doctors' offices and facilities
Inbound and outbound phone calls
Perform various administrative duties as needed
Expedites prescription processing by performing all duties necessary and allowable, by policy or law
Answers incoming calls, directs to pharmacist, when appropriate, such as new prescription questions about medication, judgmental decisions, etc.
Ensure the confidentiality and privacy of Personal Health Information as required by HIPAA
Requests and obtains refill requests
Receives, scans, and assigns patient documents t patient profiles as back up to the Patient Care Clerk
Contacts pharmacies to initiate prescription transfers
Contacts prescriber offices and patients to obtain patient documents and necessary information
handles other duties as assigned
Patient Care Coordinator Duties - Back up for Scheduling, Pick Ups, and handling Patient Calls
Reports applicable situations to the Workflow Supervisor:
Patient complaints
Missing delivery tickets
MDO not approving a refill authorization after 3 attempts
Incomplete prescription transfer
Required Qualifications

Education Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalency
Preferred Qualifications
CPR+ Knowledge
1 year of Pharmacy Clerk or comparable work experience
Pharmacy Technician License
Schedule Details
In-person (Laguna Hills, CA)
Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
