Position Summary:This is a Clinical Faculty position in a dynamic and productive CACREP-accredited program. This position is for a generalist in the 8 CACREP core areas and 5 doctoral CACREP areas, as well as the CACREP specialties in clinical mental health counseling, school counseling, and Ph.D. in CES. However, doctoral research teaching and school counseling specialty experience are highly sought. Responsibilities will include teaching a broad range of courses in the online Masters and Ph.D. programs. Travel, evening, and online course delivery are required. Qualifications:

1. Doctorate in Counselor Education required, preferably from CACREP accredited program.

2. Dedication to teaching excellence.

3. Active participation in professional organizations.

4. Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with other academic departments, community agencies, and public schools.

5. Show a record of professional scholarship and achievement.

6. Teaching experience is preferred and familiarity with online course delivery is desirable.

7. License eligible in Colorado preferred.

8. Ability to perform duties in the position description.

9. Successful candidates for this position will be committed to the willingness to develop and teach online courses. Adams State University is committed to the development of online courses and programs. The university has a comprehensive Academic Instructional Technology Center committed to supporting faculty online teaching. Support includes training in the process of teaching online, Instructional designers to support the development and designing of online courses, and instructional tools to support video lectures, live classrooms and cloud-based storage for instructional training videos.

10. Ability to treat others with respect, civility, and courtesy and to work honestly, effectively, and collegially with employees, students, and the community. This includes the ability to use appropriate conflict management skills to effectively manage any disagreement that might arise or to bring the disagreement to management for assistance in productive resolution when the situation requires.

11. Relevant ability working with under-served and/or underrepresented populations.

12. Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work effectively with individuals and groups with a variety of identities, cultures, backgrounds, and ideologies in a global environment.

13. Preferred familiarity with ASU School of Counselor Education programs and mission and vision.

Salary, and Benefits:

The base salary range is $42,000-$49,000. Opportunities for supplemental contracts are available.
