Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Technician
DIVISION: Maintenance
SUPERVISOR: Director of Facilities
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
Purpose:
Provide maintenance services for agency properties, enabling programming to occur in a safe, attractive, functioning environment in compliance with CARF standards.
Key Areas of Responsibility
ADMINISTRATION OF ALL MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR AGENCY PROPERTIES
Perform internal/external repairs and maintenance of agency properties.
Assist in maintaining security, fire alarm, sprinkler and telephone systems.
Assist in general repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and minor electrical work
Purchase supplies necessary for property repairs as required
Serve as a positive influence through behaviors, attitudes, and actions.
Maintain great communication and professional relationships with clients and co-workers.
Essential Job Qualities
Excellent and professional communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to perform budgeting calculation and comparisons.
Must possess critical thinking skills.
Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Comply with ethical standards of DSI, FSSA, and other governing bodies.
Ability to work flexible, non-standard hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Good communicator, dependable, and compassionate
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
Maintain a valid Indiana driver’s license, insurance on personal vehicle (minimum of PLPD with medical liability coverage), and maintain insurability as defined by the agency liability insurance carrier.
