Arnold & Itkin LLP is a personal injury firm known nationwide for winning record-setting results against some of the largest corporate giants. We are currently seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented candidate to work as a File Clerk/Office Runner on our Office Services Team supporting the Houston office on high-profile injury and mass tort cases. Our Firm handles cases across the country for those catastrophically injured in maritime, industrial, trucking, and other serious accidents. We help real people who are struggling in unimaginable situations. The ideal candidate is a professional, enthusiastic, and organized self-starter with some legal file room or mail room experience. A proactive work ethic, the ability to anticipate needs, and attention to detail are a must.
Responsibilities
Must be able to run local errands for firm partners and managers using own vehicle
Frequently assist in the movement of boxes weighing 50 lbs.
Read, scan, document, and distribute/route high volume incoming correspondence
Retrieve, organize, and file client documents and files off-site and on-site
Maintain document files using case management software
Monitor inventories in supply room and kitchen, and conference room set-up and maintenance
Assist with special projects as needed from trial teams
Qualifications
Ability to work in varying environments and be on your feet
Excellent oral communication, writing, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently, effectively, and efficiently without significant supervision
Ability to prioritize and complete numerous and complex assignments on time
Thrive on obtaining favorable results in a fast-paced law firm environment
Willing to work extended hours as needed to accommodate caseload demands.
Familiar with Office 365 suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, and ability to learn contemporary technology in law practice
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
Valid Driver's License and Proof of Insurance
High school diploma or equivalent
Monetary compensation is dependent on experience.
