**Position requires strong knowledge of/experience with the carpentry discipline**

The General Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, plumbing, masonry, electrical work and a strong emphasis on carpentry. The work will involve a variety of the following duties: installing or repairing ceiling grid, hanging doors and/or installing or repairing door locks and door closures and other general work assignments. All duties must be performed within the specified safety regulations of the company and the position. May perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to lift up to 75lbs, walking and standing for extended periods of time, bending, pushing, pulling; some climbing and balancing may be needed. Significant hand and finger dexterity required. Environment, while generally hazard free, may include some exposure to dust and varying temperatures.

Required Job Qualifications:

HS Diploma or Equivalent

Security Clearance (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Minimum of two years' experience in the general maintenance field in an industrial setting

Strong experience in the carpentry discipline with the following experience:

repairing and installing commercial door locks and door closures

installing ceiling grid, ceiling tiles and metal studs

knowledge using carpentry power tools and hand tools.

Desired Job Qualifications:

Three to five years in general maintenance trades in an industrial/commercial setting is preferred

Necessary Licenses or Certifications: None

Work Schedule:

Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Various shifts, which may include Saturdays and Sundays
