Senior Contracts Administrator

Summary/objective:

The Senior Contracts Administrator is responsible for managing contract administration activities related to contracts supporting the federal government for the contract life cycle from proposal phase to closeout.

Essential functions:

Draft, negotiate, award, and manage various contractual agreements (e.g., non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, subcontract agreements, task orders, modifications, etc.).

Regularly interacts with program management, finance, business development and with customers as required.

Support assigned proposal activities including analyzing solicitations and preparing contractual proposal documents as assigned.

Monitor compliance with terms and conditions, applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies and initiate corrective action as required.

Assist in preparing various federal reporting and managing compliance requirements.

Assist in developing policies and procedures to enhance and improve productivity.

Perform close-out activities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required education and experience:

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline plus 6 -10 years of directly related experience.

Preferred education and experience:

Government contracting experience working as a contracts/ subcontract professional.

Working knowledge of Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), and Time and Material (T&M) contract types.

Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).

Understanding of costing and pricing methodologies and strategies.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) experience preferred (but not required).

NCMA certification preferred.

Competencies:

Effective communicator with strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills necessary for working in a team environment.

Pay attention to details and ensure that all work is completed with the highest degree of accuracy.

Experience providing administrative support services to include organizing, prioritizing, and completing multiple tasks in a specified timeframe required.

Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong dedication to customer service.

Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Sound judgment and creativity that can be applied to resolution of contract issues.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited direction.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

The typical workday is eight hours in length. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, with concurrence from the supervisor. The employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and must account for the hours in a pay period to maintain full-time status.

Telework:

Telework Allowed up to 90% and available for in-person meetings, training and other activities as requested.

Travel:

Up to 10% of CONUS travel may be required.
