Tricon is seeking an Operator to be based at Tricon's global headquarters in Houston, TX. This position will offer a hybrid work arrangement and will report to the Director of Chemical Operations.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline the management of product, documentation, and payment processes for physical trades within the assigned business unit, ensuring a seamless experience for customers, suppliers, and freight providers.

Supervise vessel/container loading and discharge operations in conjunction with ship brokers/freight forwarders, assessing transportation suitability considering prior cargoes, tank conditions, and materials of construction to ensure safe product transport meeting customer requirements.

Maintain accurate data records within the ERP system, following company protocols to uphold information integrity and reliability.

Effectively handle import and export customs procedures for traded products, ensuring compliance and timely clearance to support smooth trade operations.

Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization, performance enhancement, and cost reduction within trade operations to drive efficiency.

Collaborate with various internal departments to grasp financial, credit, and compliance requirements associated with individual trades, ensuring alignment with regulations.

Engage in negotiations with third-party logistics and inspection service providers to secure competitive rates and enhance cost-effectiveness and service quality.

Facilitate communication of shipment details among local and international teams, ensuring effective coordination and timely updates.

Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.

2-3 years of experience

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Experience working in an ERP system preferred.

Knowledge of Incoterms, Import/Export Procedures & Documents

Bilingual in Spanish Preferred
