Traffic Control Supervisor

Wages - $25.00 an Hour - Full-time

TCT & TCS Certification Required

The Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) oversees operations related to road and highway construction projects. The TCS ensures that all traffic control devices are properly installed and is responsible for the quality of the onsite traffic control operations. The TCS reports to the Operations Manager and/or the VP of Operations.

Description / Responsibilities

Train & Supervise field supervisors & flaggers to ensure compliance with company standards and worksite safety.

Performs traffic control and flagging activities as needed in accordance with ATSSA and company policy.

MUTCD knowledge to safely set up and tear down all types of work zones.

Follow all safety and health rules as it pertains to traffic control.

Execute Traffic Control Plans, verifying accuracy.

Communicate the plan to crew members and follow-up as needed to ensure clarity.

Inspect traffic control devices to ensure functionality, placement, and safety compliance.

Effectively and immediately communicate problems or concerns to the Foreman, Project Supervisor, or Safety Manager

Professionally interact with all onsite personnel and the public

Complete and submit all required paperwork on time.

All other duties as assigned,

Qualifications/Requirements:

Requires current certification in TCT and TCS, maintained throughout employment.

Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record, maintained throughout employment.

Must be able to pass a drug screen prior to and randomly throughout employment.

Excellent verbal communication skills, a must for safety

Experience in supervising a team of employees.

Complete additional training as directed.
