We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Production Technology Specialist to join our Production Technology team at Seamount.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, 3D rendering, on-site and cloud A/V workflows, and troubleshooting within the post-production environments.

This role is crucial to the smooth operation of our teams, ensuring that data and technology needs are efficiently met; 3D rendering is effectively managed, media is accurately organized, delivered and archived and our studios are properly supported.

Responsibilities

Manage the ingestion, transcoding, and delivery of project data across various media formats, including but not limited to video, audio, and image files.

Manage provisioning and archiving of projects within on-site and cloud project storage.

Deploy and maintain cloud and on-premise 3D render capabilities.

Provide troubleshooting and support to our editors, animators, colorists, sound mixers, and other post-production personnel, often under pressure, to ensure seamless cross department collaboration and critical deadlines are met.

Assist with the implementation and maintenance of automated workflows for data processing.

Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required for this role.

Requirements

3+ years experience on HD and 4K studio-level end-to-end production workflows which include video, audio, and metadata; review and approval workflows; and final asset delivery to downstream partners.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with collaborative teams.

On-site working within our Playa Vista and Santa Monica studios. Occasional travel to other studios may be required.

macOS, Windows

software (Premiere, Resolve, Flame) and industry best practices

management software (Iconik, frame.io, Adobe Experience Manager)

Command line tools (chmod, grep, sudo, rsync, etc..)

Data storage systems (SAN, Pixit, AWS, LucidLink, Perforce) and networking principles

Capture, working, and delivery file formats, metadata, and codecs

Color space (Rec.709, BT.2020)

Color correction, Format conversions and image processing

Filesystems (NTFS, APFS, HFS+, ext2/3, exfat)

Hardware and cloud based media workflows and signal flow

Desireable Qualifications:

Linux administration

HDR Workflows

Understanding of IP audio/video protocols and codecs (NDI, SMPTE ST-2110, JPEG XS)

Cloud video transport and monitoring (CLI, Streambox, NiceDCV)

Experience with cloud-based storage and computing platforms (AWS, ArchPT, LucidLink)

3D Software (C4D, Maya, Blender) and rendering infrastructure

Comfortable with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)

Ability and desire to mentor others in achieving excellence and to being a champion of the team
