CAD TECHNICIAN

Currently seeking a CAD Technician for a full-time temporary to permanent position in East Providence, RI.

Responsibilities of CAD Technician:

-Detail progressive tools and dies using SolidWorks CAD/AutoCAD

-Create 3D models and 2D engineering drawing

-Add details to diagrams, schematics, layouts etc according to internal and customer needs

-Ensure 2D and 3D drawings meet customer specifications

-Modify and improve products as needed to eliminate malfunctions

-Use the mechanical mold design principle to evaluate and confirm plastic molding and metal tooling process

-Provide support to tool room staff and machine operators

Requirements of CAD Technician:

-Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent

-1-2 years of CAD training at a technical school or equivalent experience

-Proficiency using SolidWorks CAD/AutoCAD systems

-Good computer skills including Microsoft Office products

-Great troubleshooting and analytical skills

-Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and present technical data, documents, information, and design specifications

-Great attention to detail

-Good communication skills

-Ability to multi-task

Hours: 8:00am 5:30 pm Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $40, 000.00-$60, 000.00/year
