Position Summary:

The individual will ensure that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for delivering tooling to the press and preparing it for production promptly and efficiently.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for making sure all tooling is taken to the press and ready for production as scheduled. The die chaser will also remove tooling of completed orders from the press. They will maintain caustic, shot blast dies, and build dies that have been polished to be stored for future orders.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Fill die ovens with production pick lists in a timely manner.

· Inspect and build tooling after dies have been polished.

· Store dies in their proper place on racks.

· Maintain caustic tanks assuring there timely turn over.

· Keep a clean work area.

· Any other task or duty as assigned or required.

REQUIRED SKILLS

· Oral and written communication skills in English.

· Problem solving and analytical skills.

· General ability to use hand tools.

· Have capability to read tape measure.

· Overhead Crane Certification.

· Fork truck certification.

· Must be capable of lifting 75 pounds from the floor to a waist high platform.

· Must be capable of handling short durations of high heat temperatures while staging dies into die ovens.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

· High School Diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

· Exposure to all types of temperatures.

· Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping, bending, lifting and reaching overhead.

· Physical strength sufficient to move parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

· Sufficient manual dexterity required to perform job properly.

· High degree of attention and care required to operate in a safe manner.

· Appropriate safety equipment is necessary.

· Overtime hours may be required.
