We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to join our team with the responsibility of leading and directing the facility maintenance team to ensure a safe, efficient, cost-effective facility and infrastructure. This position will coordinate interactions with internal and/or external resources to ensure work is accurately evaluated, prioritized, planned, scheduled, and successfully completed.

Areas of responsibilities include:

Managing the facilities department to provide support to the manufacturing operations.

Coordinate and oversee installation of new industrial equipment and required electrical requirements.

Coordinating and supervising outside contractors/vendors performing maintenance and other services for the facility or on machinery/equipment.

Prioritize and manage activities of the facility maintenance team.

Mentor and coach direct reports to further develop competencies as well as lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with company values.

Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintains housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.

Maintain and oversee company grounds, buildings, and equipment.

Responsible for using the Company’s resources in an effective manner to ensure the best operating costs and to the set budget.

Establish and maintain maintenance schedules to ensure essential maintenance is complete within a reasonable time.

Monitor equipment to ensure optimal operation and reduction of planned/unplanned downtime while moving from a reactive to proactive equipment maintenance model.

Manage facility maintenance spare parts with the preventative maintenance plan along with the Spare Parts Coordinator to ensure proper supply and monitor level of usage.

Maintain compliance to City, County, State ordinance and codes.

Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required.

Maintain company fleet vehicles

Education and experience

Associate’s degree in maintenance or related area or equivalent direct work experience (minimum 5 years) in a manufacturing facility.

Minimum of three (3) years supervising maintenance employees in a manufacturing plant.

Certificate in HVAC is a plus

Minimum three (3) years’ experience working with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) tool.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Results oriented and collaborative with the ability to interact positively with subordinates, peers, and superiors to meet operation’s goals and requirements.

Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.

Knowledge of business principles specifically as it relates to maintenance planning, resource allocation, leading people.

Read and understand schematics (European and US Standards).

Proficient in MS Office and has solid analytical skills.

Knowledge and ability to work with the technical aspects of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, HVAC, plumbing, and hydraulic systems.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Solid leadership and influencing skills

Physical Requirements

Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

Frequent pushing and pulling using material handling equipment

Frequent standing, walking, handling, using fingers, reaching outward, reaching above shoulders, climbing, kneeling, bending and working from heights

Occasional sitting and crawling

Environmental Conditions

Manufacturing shop floor environment with constant noise, frequent humidity, vibrations, fumes and occasional cold, heat, heights and dust.
