Title: Women’s SMU Designer

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Liberated’s Women’s SMU Designer is responsible for bringing fresh and innovative designs as well as relevant and volume driving concepts on a seasonal basis. The SMU Designer is responsible for conceptualization and creation.

Responsible for designing SMU sportswear, swim and graphics based on customer requests

Analyze key market trends, key account business, and identify product segmentation or SMU opportunities to drive incremental revenue and penetration for the brands

Responsible for analyzing trends and develop creative, innovative, market leading designs, within defined merchandising concepts

Graphic and textile print creation

Execution on all aspects of the design process from concept to creation, including fit & material selection

Present all seasonal cad presentations, collaborate with Sales on feedback/needs

Inspiration > Creation > Tech > BOM > Fit > Follow up comments

Work with brand merchants to ensure alignment across categories/channels, while capitalizing on key market trends to identify new / brand right opportunities

Have an in-depth knowledge of market, trends, innovation, competition, and product, specifically in Sportwear

Ensure products are delivered in time and aligned with the broader product development calendar

Manage time and action calendar for assigned categories to meet all deadlines

Products delivered built in full, on time seasonally, hitting calendar and margin targets

Collaborate with in-line design teams for SMU needs, attend key meetings

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

5+ years experience in design

Degree in design or equivalent work experience

Creative, extremely detail oriented, and highly motivated team player

Incredible attention to detail and highly organized

Deadline driven

Flexible, ability to adapt to change

Advanced ability with Mac OS

Advanced ability with Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop

Intermediate ability with Word, Excel, Outlook

Intermediate ability with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

This position requires some on-site hours at our HQ in Costa Mesa, CA; however, some duties can be performed remotely

Liberated Brands is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Costa Mesa, CA is $70,000 - $80,000. This position is hybrid and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location.
