PROGRAM INFORMATION

Tiny Troops Soccer is a minority woman-owned and operated military spouse business that has employed over 500+ military spouses, dependents, and civilians around the world. Our mission is to serve military kids and their friends all while teaching the great game of soccer to the youngest generation of players, ages 2-4 years old. We build happy and confident kids, developmentally ready soccer players, and a community for all.

HOURS

The hours range from 3.5 - 8 hours per week. Saturday availability is required for this position unless otherwise noted. Additional hours during the week are a possibility. There will be occasional administrative tasks such as coach evaluations, communicating via Slack and email, reviewing the lesson material for each week, training, and the monthly coach meetings that occur on weekdays. These activities will take approximately 2-5 hours per month of your time.

HOURLY SALARY

Entry-level assistant coaches begin at a competitive $18/hour. Administrative and off-field tasks are paid at $15/hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have your own DoD government-issued I.D. to get on base (active duty military, spouse, dependent, retired, and/or reservist

Age 18 years and above at the time of submitting your application

Have a passion for teaching soccer and working with young children

Minimum of a consecutive 4-month commitment on Saturdays with a possible Sunday in case of make-up day class is utilized.

Ability to lead classes along with the Primary Coach at the location and in the case of the absence of the Primary Coach

Desire to be a team player and ambassador in representing your location on and off the field by promoting families to register for your classes

Ability to communicate and respond in a timely and professional manner with both the administrative team and parents

Access to personal, reliable transportation to and from the field's location

Mobile phone with the ability to support and stream your classes via Facebook live on the official evaluation page

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The candidate must demonstrate the physical capabilities of:

Remaining upright, reaching, squatting, kneeling, running, and moving up and down the field during coaching sessions

The ability to independently rise from a seated position on the ground to ensure their readiness for dynamic engagement in childcare activities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in any of the following areas: coaching, playing, refereeing soccer, babysitting, nannying and/or teaching

The Assistant Coach will work alongside the Primary Coach on the following days on the field-

Jun 1st,8th,15th

Jul 6th,13th,20th

Aug 3rd,10th,17th

Sep 7th,14th,21st

Oct 5th,12th,19th

Nov 2nd,9th,16th

EX: Saturday morning schedule

9:00-9:25 a.m. - 2 year olds

9:45-10:30 a.m. - 3 year olds

10:45-11:30 a.m. - 4 year olds

FIELD LOCATION

(ON BASE) Marek Park: Kadena Air Base at Marek Park near the gazebo by the parking lot.

PLEASE NOTE:

If you would like your child to participate in the classes you coach, you must guarantee that another adult is present at every class your child attends to help with participation or to remove them from the field if any issues should arise.
