About The Role
Makers Fund is a global interactive entertainment industry venture capital firm focused on early-stage investments. We are looking for a Senior Fund Accountant to be based in Singapore.
The Senior Fund Accountant will be working closely with our operation teams and reporting directly to the Senior Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare timely and accurate NAV reports, management accounts and other fund accounting reports.
Record accurately the accounting journal entries for both the Fund and Investment Management Companies in different jurisdictions.
Review capital distribution notices, NAV reports prepared by the fund administrator, and reconcile with internal records.
Identify exceptions and quality check accounting records.
Assist in the preparation of audit schedules, annual financial statements, regulatory reports, tax returns and/or other required deliverables.
Lead and work on tax matters in multiple jurisdictions, including Singapore and US
Process payments and input/review reimbursements.
Others ad-hoc assignments including opening bank accounts, preparing management reports.
Skills and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar financial focus preferred.
2-5 years of experience in investment fund accounting.
Ideally hold an ACCA, CPA or equivalent certification.
Experience in handling Singapore MAS quarterly & annual returns and IRAS tax filing (e.g. Form C, ECI and GST) preferred.
Willing to learn and take new challenge in a fast-moving environment.
Responsive, attention to details with organizational and analytical skills.
Microsoft Office- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Openness and proactiveness in broadening knowledge in unfamiliar areas.
High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
A proactive attitude and ability to work cross-functionally.
Additional knowledge of mandarin speaking will be a plus to handle non-English-speaking clients.
