Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate, maintain, and repair tools, dies, and fixtures to support production operations.

Implement and preform preventative die maintenance and sharpen dies on progressive and secondary dies

Setup, operate, and maintain machine tools to cut, drill, mill, bore, and grind or otherwise shape a work piece to prescribed specifications.

Disassemble dies on table to verify dimensions to part print, set clearances, using measuring instruments such as dial indications, gauge blocks, dial calipers, and micrometers.

Remove defective components and repair; fit and reassemble parts using hand tools. Create drawing of parts to be fabricated; insert repaired or replacement part, verify clearances and reassemble die.

Demonstrate precision machining skills to ensure the accuracy and quality of components.

Implement engineering changes on tools and dies.

GTAW (tig) welding may be required

Collaborate with colleagues to optimize tooling designs and enhance manufacturing efficiency.

Conduct thorough quality checks to meet specified standards.

Uphold safety and environmental regulations and maintain a commitment to quality in all tasks.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship in tool and die making.

Proven experience in tool and die making within a manufacturing setting.

Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.

In-depth knowledge of metalwork and engineering, a good eye for detail, and the ability to visualize structural components.

Proficient with computer-aided (CAD) software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with building and repairing progressive dies is preferred.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Dedication to safety and adherence to quality standards.

The salary for this position is determined on experience and a potential Direct Hire placement.
