Prestige Truck Bodies is the leading company in manufacturing of truck bodies. We build all traditional rigid body types and in addition we custom design bodies to suit client's needs.
We are looking for a full-time WELDER/FABRICATOR to be based in Carrum Downs, Victoria who will be responsible for welding and fabricating materials needed in manufacturing truck bodies.
Main Duties Responsibilities:
Fabricate, weld, and bolt various framework and components that make up the body of the truck.
Fabricate and install various components, made from steel, aluminum, reinforced plastic and specialist fiberglass panels that are relevant to the particular truck body that is being worked on.
Position, align, fit, and weld parts, to form, complete units, following lay out specification using jigs, welding touchers and hand tools.
Operate various welding machinery.
Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers and measuring tape.
Tack weld fitted parts together.
Responsible for the minor and major maintenance of the various tools and components in and around the work station.
Perform grinding works where applicable.
Before work makes sure all tools and equipment are in working order and ready to use.
Report any damaged tools to the appropriate person.
At the end of the day, check that all tools and equipment are packed away, where applicable.
Clear the work area.
Maintain high personal standards of conduct, professionalism, and presentation.
Job Type: Full-time
Full Time hours: (38 ordinary hours per week + 287hrs guaranteed overtime per annum)
Hourly Rate - $29.50
Annual Salary $70,991.75 + Super
