Electrical Assembly and Test Technician

Overview:

• Full time and part time electrical and test technician roles available.

• Assembly and testing components for AR/VR optics, LiDAR, AI camera systems, camera modules and other advanced optical systems.

• Full scope of responsibilities includes PCB assembly, optical assembly, micro-assembly, optical testing, electrical testing, 3D printing and other lab related tasks.

Duties include:

• PCB soldering including 0402 SMT component assembly under a microscope

• optical component assembly and testing in a cleanroom environment

• work closely with engineers and other technical staff to development new processes

• debug custom PCBs based on schematic and perform rework to determine root cause of failure

• 3D printing and prototype development

• procuring parts, work with suppliers to build samples

• hands on lab work, assembly and testing

Experience / Attributes Required:

• graduated from a technical college with mechanical or electrical technical diploma or equivalent work experience

• extremely hands-on with strong computer skills and ability to pick up new software effectively and efficiently

• strong mechanical aptitude, good with microscopes and working with small parts. Careful attention to detail.

• logical and clear problem-solving skills with exceptional communication skills

• 3D printing experience definitely an asset

• passionate about cool technology used in disruptive new consumer electronics devices
