Senior Electrical Estimator

Job Description

Electrical contractor in Miami Lakes area is looking to hire an estimator for commercial, retail, residential electrical projects located in Miami-Dade, Broward counties.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

Must be organized and have the ability to work multiple projects simultaneously.

Must have strong computer skills: Word, Excel, estimating program.

Must have knowledge of NEC and local codes with knowledge of standard electrical practices.

Must have strong communication skills and the ability to read and write English fluently.

Must be able to professionally communicate and work well with potential and existing customers.

Must be detail oriented and have the ability to complete bids on time.

Must be able to interpret specs and plans and perform take off.

Must prepare full estimates ready for proposal.

Must obtain material and package quotations from suppliers.

Must be able to manage change orders, RFI's and plan revisions.

Must work with office team in preparation of progress billing

Requirements:

Must have 5 years experience as an estimator with commercial, retail and residential projects (most jobs range from $50,000 to $250,000.)

Some field experience is preferred. Must have experience in new construction and renovation commercial and retail projects.

Fluent English.
