Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill the role of Enhanced Operations Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of landscape operations, with a focus on installation, maintenance, and enhancement. They will lead a team in executing tasks such as fertilization, irrigation, seasonal display management, and snow and ice removal. This role requires a high level of expertise in landscape operations and a proven track record in managing both personnel and projects effectively.

Responsibilities

· Landscape Installation: Plan and execute landscape installation projects, including but not limited to planting, hardscaping, and grading, ensuring adherence to design specifications and client expectations.

· Fertilization and Soil Management: Develop and implement fertilization programs to promote healthy plant growth and soil quality. Monitor soil conditions and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

· Irrigation Systems Management: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems. Develop watering schedules and ensure proper hydration for landscape elements.

· Seasonal Display Management: Coordinate the design and installation of seasonal displays, including flowers, foliage, and decorative elements, to enhance the aesthetic appeal of landscapes throughout the year.

· Snow and Ice Management: Develop comprehensive snow and ice management plans for properties, including preemptive measures, snow removal, and de-icing strategies. Ensure safe conditions for pedestrians and vehicles during winter weather events.

· Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate a team of landscape technicians and subcontractors. Delegate tasks effectively and provide guidance to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.

· Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their needs and preferences. Provide updates on project progress, address concerns, and offer recommendations for enhancing landscape aesthetics and functionality.

· Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for landscape operations, including labor, materials, and equipment. Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.

· Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards related to landscape operations, including environmental regulations, pesticide application, and workplace safety guidelines.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Management, or related field preferred.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscape operations, with expertise in installation, fertilization, irrigation, seasonal display management, and snow and ice management.

· Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor staff.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach.

· Proven ability to develop and manage budgets, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

· Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices pertaining to landscape management.

· Proficiency in computer software applications such as Microsoft Office and landscape design software is a plus.

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Working Conditions:

This position requires outdoor work in various weather conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, rain, and snow. The Enhanced Operations Manager must be able to lift heavy objects, operate machinery and equipment safely, and travel to multiple job sites as needed.
