Job Description
Plant Operations Manager guarantees that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows.
In a fast-paced environment like production, the production manager is an integral part of the manufacturing process. They must be competent and comprehend complex operations. You should also be able to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing costs.
The goal is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.
Responsibilities
Enforce safety guidelines and company standards
Continuous improvement with production.
Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
Organize workflow by reviewing assigned responsibilities and preparing schedules
Oversee and coach employees
Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
Ensures planned maintenance is conducted on equipment, oversees unplanned maintenance and limits unscheduled downtime
Check production output according to specifications
Report on performance and progress of production team
Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements, oversee improvements
Oversee training of new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
Monitors operational back logs and plans manpower needs for increasing or decreasing work load
Monitors employee performance. Issues disciplinary action when necessary
Requirements
Proven experience as Production Manager or similar role
Glass Experience helpful
Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
Knowledge of MS Office and other operating systems
Organizational and leadership abilities
Communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
Problem-solving skills
Degree in a business management, technical/engineering or relevant field
