We are searching for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the role of Facilities Maintenance Technician. This individual will help with the upkeep of a consistently growing rental property portfolio. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be expected to coordinate and perform repairs as needed as well as complete reoccurring maintenance tasks at each property. We are looking for someone who takes pride in ensuring our communities are clean and kept in like new condition. Interested candidates must have proficient to expert level skills and experience to troubleshoot issues in a variety of disciplines with minimal to no guidance.

Just as important as the trade skills and experience level of the candidate is their ability to provide excellent customer service! Having a level-headed, respectful demeanor is an extremely important quality to have for this role.

Plumbing

Electrical

HVAC

Inventory Management

Responsibilities of the Facilities Maintenance Technician include, but are not limited to:

Diagnose and promptly resolve resident submitted work order requests with little to no guidance.

Performing general maintenance tasks for the properties such as drywall repair, light carpentry, flooring repair, painting, plumbing leaks, electrical and more.

Thoroughly inspect units prior to resident move-in as well as after moving out. Make unit ready for turn-over.

Maintain records of any work and inspections done on-premises using company portal.

Keep repair tools and supplies clean and organized.

Detect, identify and repair building issues, such as problems with building's electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.

Suggest and research improvements/upgrades to buildings and other systems.

Receive and complete emergency maintenance calls during varying hours of the day (nights, weekends, and possibly holidays).

Clearly communicate maintenance related updates to residents and office team in a professional courteous manner.

Maintenance Technician Requirements & Qualifications:

5+ years facilities maintenance experience (trade/journeyman or Facilities Management Professional licenses a plus!).

Must possess a driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Must possess a reliable Android or Apple cell phone.

Able to work independently with minimal instruction and oversight.

Able and willing to perform physical tasks that may involve moving heavy equipment and materials (up to 100lbs), standing/kneeling for long periods of time, as well as climbing heights in excess of 6 ft.

Able and willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and possibly holidays (contingent on season and emergency needs).

High comfort level using computers (knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite a big plus!).

Exhibit keen problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
