Position Title: Senior Project Manager

Remote, Onsite or Blended: Must live in Huntsville, will have a work space at both current locations. Can work from home as needed. Being onsite will be paramount for communications. Will drive between the three facilities.

Contract/Contract-Hire/Direct-Hire: Intended to be a contract engagement, but as things change over time, there could be an opportunity to convert. However, there isn’t an identified need to convert into.

Start Date: ASAP

Length of Assignment: at least through April 2025

Preferred schedule/flex time options? There will be times where it is FT and other times where it doesn’t require a full 40 hour work week. Will be cyclical depending on the timeline of the project. Can be flexible on hours.

PMP – Background

Project Management experience

Practitioner/has worked in a Project Management software

Project Leadership experience – matrix leadership oriented, delegation, follow through, holding people accountable, ability to manage up and down to ensure they stay on schedule

Strong preference consolidating and moving facilities – rationalize and determine the best time to move to ensure they don’t lose production time

Experience handling facility moves, working with external contracts and success w a business move that may be multi-site into one and must have engineering labs, operations manufacturing facilities, non-intrusion

Job description:

About role: As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading North and South relocation plans to its brown field location (by HSV airport). This includes providing the project management leadership required to ensure timeliness of the move to include project is within defined budget. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to define project objectives, develop detailed project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle. You will also be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, resolving issues, and managing changes to project scope and requirements. Additionally, you will be expected to provide regular project status updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the current North and South campuses to its new location.

Define project scope, project team, project charter, project plan, critical path, movement metrics, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.

Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to them throughout the project lifecycle.

Allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure successful project execution.

Manage project risks and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.

Communicate effectively with project teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure alignment and manage expectations.

Facilitate regular project meetings, including kick-off meetings, status meetings, and post-mortems.

Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Prepare and present project status reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and policies throughout the project lifecycle.

Education and Experience Required:

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.

Proven experience (10+ years) as a project manager, managing complex projects in a dynamic environment.

Experience in relocating operations and office settings to new facility is preferred.

Experience Qualifications:

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.

• Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Asana, etc.

• Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Typical Working Conditions:

• Office, and warehouse facility setting and environment

• The work environment is well-lit, heated and is in air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. (exception new brown field facility)

• May have some exposure to heat or cold in site manufacturing, new facility areas.

• The use of safety equipment may be required.

Essential Physical Tasks:

• Regularly required to sit or stand, walk, bend, and reach with hands and arms.

• Regular use of hands/fingers for handling, holding, grasping, and typing on a computer keyboard.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
