Scheduler and HR Assistant at Gyu Kaku Japanese BBQ

The pay range is from $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience. The work schedule will consist of approximately 25-30 hours a week, Monday through Friday. This position is not eligible for employee benefits.

Primary Responsibilities

The HR Assistant supports of the day-to-day operations of the human resources function. The incumbent carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruiting, staffing, organization development, company policies and procedures, employee relations, training, labor law, benefits, safety. This is an entry level position.

Essential Functions

Recruiting and staffing

Performance management

Employee relations

Company employee communication

Benefits administration and record keeping

Employee files and HR filing

Responds to employee’s inquiries and assists employees with any issues or concerns

Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested

Maintains the employee annual review process

Designs and revises company policies and procedures

Creates schedules weekly for the staff through scheduling software Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Attention to detail and high level of confidentiality.

Must be able to work independently

Must be computer savvy

Must be able to work 4-6 hours a day (depends on operation needs), 3-5 days a week.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office- Excel, Word.

Ability to multitask and effectively communicate both in writing and verbally. Job Type: Part-time.

Internship accepted (Flexible work hours and can be tailored around class schedule).
