Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervises the concessions employees in the preparation and service of food and refreshments, as well as clean-up.

Lead, mentor, engage and develop teams to maximize their contributions, including recruiting, assessing, training, coaching and managing performance.

Assists in the training of concessions employees engaged in the preparing and cooking foods to ensure high quality, efficient and profitable food service.

Purchases refreshments, according to anticipated demand and familiarity with public taste in food and beverages.

Directs storage, preparation, and serving of refreshments by other workers at refreshment stand or circulating throughout audience.

Assigns concessions workers and non-profit volunteers to locations.

Tabulates receipts and balances accounts.

Inventories supplies on hand at end of each month or other designated period.

Works within guidelines for food and labor costs.

Completes financial reports for non-profit groups after each match.

Create value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls and profit management. Full compliance with Operational Excellence fundamentals, including food and labor. Direct and oversee operations related to production, distribution and food service.

Prepare weekly schedules and schedule appropriate staff according to business levels and planned payroll.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.

Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises all employees in concessions. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with HKC policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university

1 to 2 years related experience and/or training.

Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Previous management experience in a similar venue

Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated ability to control costs, generate increased revenue and manage accounts payable/receivable and financial reporting.

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Ability to function in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Ability to train workers in preparation and cooking of foods to ensure high quality, efficient and profitable food service.

Ability to manage several direct reports.

Knowledge of computers.
