Essential Duties: Work with both Government and other contractor wiring engineers and technicians at ALC to develop complete and technically accurate vector wiring diagrams in Vector Graphics Maintenance Tool (VGMT) or compatible USCG preapproved IW development tool format to include associated wiring and equipment lists before being submitted.

Develop accurate wiring diagrams with all required wiring details that are both common and standard across aircraft platforms, along with these wiring diagrams, the associated wire list and equipment to support future IETM requirements and the development of IW.

Research and provide input for all written USCG procedures used to create and maintain wiring configuration.

Create engineering drawings as required using Computer Aided Design & Drafting (CADD) software tools.

Provide engineering drawing and solid model support as defined IAW Technical Data Package Process Guide, CGTO PG-85-00-240-A, MIL-STD-31000a, and ASME Y14 standards.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree or certificate in a technical drafting/design discipline.

Four (4) years of wiring and electrical system to include interpreting and developing aviation wiring diagrams and drawings.

Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring diagrams, information database management, S1000D, IETMs, and Intelligent Wiring (IW) experience.

Knowledge and a fundamental understanding of NAVAIR 505 series, NAVAIR 509 series, SAE 50881F, MIL-HDBK-522, MILHDBK-525, IEEE standards, and ASME Y14 Standards.

Proficient in PTC IsoDraw, PTC Creo Elements Drafting Software, and VGMT (or compatible, USCG pre-approved IW development tool). Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S.
